I've run into an issue with my setup using a Gigabyte G1 Gaming GTX 970.

System specs:
3x ASUS VX238 monitors
i7 6700k CPU
AsRock Z170 Pro4S Motherboard
16GB G.Skill RipJaws V DDR4-2400 RAM
Gigabyte G1 Gaming GTX 970
Corsair HX750 (750W) PSU
Windows 10 Home

I have two monitors running on the DVI ports and the third one is on the HDMI port.

Everything runs fine, except when I start playing a graphic intense game. If I run ARK for example at Max settings, after an hour or so, the PC reboots.

CPU never goes over 40 degrees Celcius and the GPU never goes over 65 degrees Celcius. So it's not overheating.

I can actually get it to reboot within 10 minutes by running minecraft with shaders.. But ARK, Batman, etc.. takes over an hour. Go figure.

The games are played in Windowed mode on one monitor at 1920x1080. The other 2 monitors I usually use for browsing, etc. Except when I play GTA V, I like playing that one in 5760x1080 :)

The Event Viewer is blank minus it's complaining of an unexpected restart. Basically it's as if the PC was unplugged and then plugged back in.

As stated, the PSU is a Corsair HX750 (750W) so it should have enough juice. I've monitored the voltage output and it's within specifications. the 12V will dip to 11.9 but never any lower.

I've tried old NVidia drivers as well as the latest 364.72 driver, it happens on all of them.

I've contacted Gigabyte and I'm waiting for news to see if I need to RMA the card or not.

I'm going to test unplugging one monitor tonight and see if the problem persists or not. I doubt it's related to having 3 monitors but I've had people suggest trying it.

I'm just wondering if anyone has experienced something like this before and if there's something I haven't looked at yet that I might want to look at.

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Forgot to add that I've also managed to extend the time before a reboot by setting the "Debug Mode" under Help in the NVidia Control Panel. So basically setting the card to use Nvidia specs for the 970 chipset. Still reboots, but takes alot longer.

Gigabyte got back to me and I'm sending them my card this week. I'll update the thread once I hear back from them.
