So i have a invidia gtx 960 ssc 4gb and amd a10 7850k i notice bottlenecking while playing gta 5..

Should i upgrade my cpu to a10 7890k. My socket is fm2+. I have no budget. Just wanted to know if upgrading it will stop the bottlenecking. Not planning to get another motherboard yet. Also have 16 gb ram. Thnx

Don't waste the money. You could overclock yours to 7890 levels with enough cooling if you really wanted to, however FM2 is a dead platform too. AMD is replacing later this year and to spend money on it is not worth it.

Your choices are live with it, overclock it a bit, or upgrade your motherboard/cpu/ram, if you go the 3rd route Intel Skylake LGA 1151 is the way to go, unless you can wait for the new AMD stuff at the end of the year.

It's not really worth upgrading within that socket set. You're not really going to see any difference at all in performance. If you really wanted to upgrade you would have to switch to the AM3+ platform or the LGA1150 or LGA1151 platforms.
