I'm pretty familiar with desktop RAM but I've found myself completely lost with upgrading my laptop's RAM. I know for example that generally any RAM from a reputable manufacturer will work in a desktop as long as it's not outright incompatible, but does this also hold true for (newer) laptops? I cannot find a compatibility list for this specific laptop anywhere, and the exact modules listed as compatible on the sites of RAM manufacturers such as Crucial and Kingston are not available here (nearly identical modules are available but not the exact same models).
Can anyone help me out here? The laptop in question is a Lenovo Z70-80.
