Is this a good overclock (GTX 980ti STRIX OC)

So currently, my friend has a boost clock of 1400 Mhz and a ingame clock of 1548 hz. Is this a good overclock and it runs at 84 degrees celcuis.

1548Mhz is a good overclock for a 980TI. Anything above 1500Mhz would be considered a quality OC. Theres nothing wrong with OCing, some people just are afraid to break something if they push it too hard. Free performance never hurt anyone.

1440p I am confused is it bad to overclock everything I know about pc I learned from him lol

his case must have bad airflow, 84c on a strix card is pretty high, and there new cooler design is sexy as fook.
