Hey everyone,

I've been plagued with a problem which occurs every few months or so where I'm just doing a random task on my PC, not straining my GPU or CPU at all, and the screen freezes for a while, audio still plays, and then the screen goes to black registering to input, with audio either continuing to play or eventually cutting to looping one sound.

After I experience this my computer fails to boot and just tries to boot every 10 seconds or so until I've done something random to it (unplugged everything, plugged it all back in or every just leaving everything alone).

I have no idea what triggers this or how it's fixed but does anyone have an idea based on how the events occur?

Thanks for any help.

MOBO: Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD3R
PSU: Gigabyte GE-P610A-C2
CPU: i7-2600k clocked to 3.7ghz
GPU: r9 280x, standard clock
RAM: 2x4GB Kingston, can't remember clock/actual make

Thank you. I am a bit suspicious of the PSU as I've never heard of it and it doesn't seem very popular, it also doesn't seem to have bronze or above rating. If possible, next time it occurs, switch it all off and take out the GPU and see if it will boot straight away using the onboard graphics. While waiting for it to happen again, could you take a look at your temps please.
