So I want to know if a R9 380 (PCIe 3.0) could work with a ASUS P8H61 since it's PCIe 2.0... But i read somewhere that the 3.0 GPU can fit in the 2.0 slot.... So could it actually work or would I have to change the MOBO for the GPU to work with it... If the GPU isn't going to fit can you please tell me a good PCIe 2.0 GPU for it's price...

Thanks!

pcie is backwards compatable. as long as you have a long 8x or 16x slot available. pcie-3 is faster, but even pcie 2 wont bottleneck that gpu, you'll be just fine. you should be more concerned with checking that your power supply is sufficient for the card and that theres actually enough physical room in the case for the card to fit. you do not have to replace your mobo.
