First SSD suggestion.

I am looking for one that isn't too high end and more towards budget friendly. Since i am using the new SSD for my OS and daily programs so for the capacity maybe around 100+ GB will be enough. By the way my motherboard do support m.2 Any suggestion on the brands or specific model?
PS: First time using the forum here so if I violate any of the rules please let me know.

I second the Samsung 850 EVO series. They are excellent and in a desktop environment you won't feel like it's budget, they are very quick.

i agree go with a Samsung drive. 250GB is the sweet spot right now for size and price. i would stick with a SATA version because most motherboards that have M.2 slot only make the slot available for cache drives

120gb fills up quickly. the 240gb Samsung referenced ^ is very good.
m.2 format is unlikely to be cheaper.

Thank everyone of you here for your lightning fast and helpful reply. Even though i'd like to go for the 850 you guys suggest but since i am currently in Taiwan the price and availability of this product locally is currently unknown. So i will search my local shop for its availability and price.
