I have two GPU's in my computer. Unfortunately they are Nvida and ATI, so they aren't SLI or CrossFire capable. But what I want to do is use my main GPU, the ATI, for the main display stuff, and the Nvidia strictly for games only. How do I do this? Thanks for any help that can be provided :)

You really can't do that. Windows doesn't know how to do that automatically. I suppose you could disable one at a time and only use the other, but because of the varying drivers you are likely to end up with an unstable system. I would recommend you just go with the stronger of the two of them and use the other for a backup, in case needed later. Or sell it. Or install in another system.

One display- possible just connect the display cable to whichever gpu you want to use. And remove/disable the gpu that isnt in use to stop driver conflicts. However swapping will require restart. Two displays- as far as i know, not possible. Why not just use the nvidia for both? Surely it makes no difference

Hi I was in your other thread. Why do you want to use that ATI GPU, it is straight up ancient, and there are no current drivers for it. Why would you not just use the Nvidia GT 620 you have? It will work better in every way possible.

With only 1 display there is no simple or practical way to swap between the two without literally reconfiguring the PC and shutting down each time you want to swap.

Okay, so what can I do with the ATI card? I really don't want to just let it sit around.

Put it in the classifieds or eBay, for like 10 bucks, someone building up an older PC may want it. It is of no use to you whatsoever.

You can keep as a backup in the event that your Nvidia GPU ever died. I keep an older video card around for troubleshooting as well. Just a couple thoughts.
