I can't remember exactly when it started but about 3 months ago my computer started to shutoff randomly while gaming probably like once a week or 2. Yesterday it happened again but it would not turn back on. It shut offs as if the cords was unplugged. It will only turn on for 45 seconds. I cleaned my psu, as it was very dirty, and did the paperclip test and the psu works as far as im concerned. I'm using a EVGA 500W psu and im not sure if my mother board is bad or if 500W is'nt enough. Thanks for any help in advance I'm a bit of a newbie.

Paperclip test only proves there is some power , not conclusive for a Full at power determination , and the 500w PSU's from EVGA are made by HEC and are poor quality and unstable.
The 550W models are the good ones made by SEASONIC and Super FLOWER.
