GT 640 DDR3 vs GT 640 DDR5

My cousin uses gt 640ddr3 card and I saw him play metro 2033 on medium settings and he was able to fetch decent framerates but since gt 640 ddr5 is also out there and I can easily get it for cheaper price. Please clear my doubts about their performance difference. How much performance gap is there? And please do not suggest any other card because I will picking up only one of these. Thank you.

DDR5 is better. Performance gap would depend on the game.

Get whatever is cheaper - you will not notice any difference. Unless it is under $50 USD you are literally throwing away money though.

The performance difference is mostly negligible. Go for the better bargain, by the DDR5 model will be marginally (and not by much at all) faster.

The HD7750 is stronger across the board, in this comparison. They are both considered entry-level devices.

As long as it's able to run older games I dont mind it. I will be upgrading my whole system but for the time being I just need a cheap alternative. My monitor is barely 18inches and native resolution is also low.

The difference between these two cards doesn't seem to be huge and btw HD 7750 is almost $40 more than gt640 ddr 5 at my place.
