Severe PC Problems

Hi, I have a ASUS TP500LA, the i7 Edition, and I occasionaly get blue screens from various reasons, and I cannot seem to pin down the problem. Any ideas?

Does it give a reason for the blue screen crash? List a driver file or anything?

No file, but I have seen almost (exaggeration) every bluescreen that exists. I cant seem to find a rhyme or reason to the BSOD's.

If it makes a difference, I am on windows 10 Home

Hmm...start with memtest x86 - let it run several passes overnight.

Original Windows installation or did you upgrade it to 10?

I upgraded to 10. I will try that, but i already have, and it did not find any errors.

Ah. Any issues at all before the upgrade?

I would probably grab any necessary drivers, save them to a USB, and do a fresh install of W10. Without any rhyme or reason to the crashes, it's often better to just start over rather than ripping your hair out trying to figure out what is causing the crash.

2/3 upgrades I did went smoothly; the other couldn't stand the graphics drivers that W10 kept insisting on downloading and would crash to a black screen entirely shortly after booting.

There is a "media creation tool" you can download from Microsoft that will let you make a USB or bootable DVD to load W10 from.

I already have an usb drivec, so that is not a problem, but it is not a black screen. Some of the stated issues include, Bad System config, dpc watchdog violation and iqrl less or not equal.

I know - I was just stating my experience. Occasionally the upgrade from older versions does not go well.

Yeah, I have had that problem, even as far as the upgrade completly failing, and then one i retry, it works fine.
