CPU: Intel i7-3770
MB: MSI G77A-G41
GPU: ASUS DirectCU II GTX 760
PSU: Coolermaster Thunder 700W
RAM: 2x8G G.skill Ripjaws X
OS: Windows 10 Pro

I've had my computer for about 2 years now, and I haven't had any problems yet, however, a couple of days ago my computer completely froze during light use (Watching YouTube). After letting it sit for about 15 mins I forced shutdown by holding the power button down. However when I turned it on again it powered up, fans started spinning, and then shut down in about half a second. It then pauses for about a second and attempts to boot itself again. I unplugged it and spent about half an hour looking up possible solutions, when I decided to just try again and it booted up perfectly normally. I left on during the night. The next day, the exact same thing happened, and Half an hour later, it booted up normally.

Today, however, Windows forced some updates on me and reset the computer, only it didn't boot back up. I waited half an hour and nothing, another hour and nothing, after a couple of hours like this I decided to let it just continue the boot up loop, and after a few tries it started to boot! Only, my screens stayed in standby mode and made no indication that anything changed. Both the CPU and GPU fans were running, for about a minute where it crashed again. I read that RAM can sometimes cause problems so I pulled the RAM out, and booted again, it was a the exact same, I then out a single stick of RAM in the second slot (I normally use the first and third) and I got three beeps when it booted. Looking up that this was a problem with RAM, I put the sticks back in the first and third slot, and it booted up perfectly normally. However, Windows had a large update that requires multiple restarts and so, half an hour of installing later and I had the exact same problem.

So far I've tried flashing the BIOS, taking out RAM and GPU, unplugging everything and plugging them back in, and giving everything a good clean.

At this point the PC seems to have 4 boot states, in order of how often it happens,
1: boots up, half a second later it shuts down, repeat
2: boots up, roughly 5 seconds later it shuts down, repeat
3: boots up, everything seems to be working but monitor stays on standby mode
4: boots up, and everything works fine, until It shuts down or restarts. After a while, it freezes and must be shut down.

I'm fairly certain it's the motherboard at this point, but I wanted to get a second opinion before I shell out a bunch of money for a new one.

And sorry for the essay, but I wanted to be thorough.

It's almost been a week now, and it hasn't crashed again... I've been putting it in sleep mode as opposed to turning it off, and there seems to be no problems... a few days ago a windows update caused the computer to reset again, but it did it perfectly fine this time. Strange. I'm still gonna keep an eye on a motherboard though, just in case.
