Hi. I'm on the market for a socket 1151 motherboard, compatible with DDR4 ram, for the purpose of high end gaming, Im using an Intel Core Skylake Processor i5-6500/3.2 GHz, with a GTX 970 4GB graphics card.

I have seen various motherboards, which are relatively cheap which have what i need, but i do not know whether its better to buy a more expensive one, however I do not know what extra benefits they provide or if they are even worth the extra money.

Here are some of the cheaper ones i've been looking at:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Gigabyte-H110M-S2H-Motherboard-Socket-Express/dp/B01649KMZS?ie=UTF8&keywords=socket%201151%20motherboard%20ddr4&qid=1460462411&ref_=sr_1_1&sr=8-1
http://www.amazon.co.uk/H110M-A-Motherboard-Socket-Express-S-ATA/dp/B015Z58FHO?ie=UTF8&keywords=socket%201151%20motherboard%20ddr4&qid=1460462411&ref_=sr_1_4&sr=8-4
http://www.amazon.co.uk/B150M-C-Motherboard-Socket-S-ATA-Micro/dp/B014R8JX8K?ie=UTF8&keywords=socket%201151%20motherboard%20ddr4&qid=1460462411&ref_=sr_1_8&sr=8-8

And here are some of the more expensive ones:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Gigabyte-Z170%C2%A0Gaming-K3%C2%A0EU-1151%C2%A04x-DDR4%C2%A0Max/dp/B01AUSEBHE/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&dd=mdBXs4BdYp_AEo9yG-97Yw%2C%2C&ie=UTF8&qid=1460462029&sr=1-1&keywords=socket+1151+motherboard+ddr4
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Asus-Z170-E-Intel-Z170-Motherboard/dp/B017M5KK5K?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=ox_sc_act_title_2&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Z170-Motherboard-Socket-S-ATA-SupremeFX/dp/B016ADLARW?ie=UTF8&keywords=socket%201151%20motherboard%20ddr4&qid=1460462411&ref_=sr_1_3&sr=8-3

Some educated assistance would be very much appreciated as I want to buy today so I can start my build tomorrow.

Thank you!

The z series boards are generally for overclocking a k series chip.

All the budget boards you picked will do the job.

£100ish to spend go for this one

Asrock B150 GAMING K4/HYPER DDR4 Motherboard - Black https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01CK7KI3O/ref=cm_sw_r_em_awd_qDodxbV0A15C0"]

Which as well as being a great featured board in its own right also supports overclocking on locked chips like the 6500.

You may not be interested in oc'ing at the moment but it leaves the option there for the future.

Ok thank you - I do want to overclock so i think i will just go for a K series chip and get a Z series board, which of the 3 would you personally reccomend? or any others you have in mind?

As I said you can go for the locked 6500 & that board I recommended mate in all honesty - reports of people getting 4fhz with that combination.

That k4 hyper board has a seperate CPU base clock generator so can overclock any CPU.

Should you really want to go k/z series then obviously the 6600k & probably the Asus z170-pro

Asus Z170 Pro Motherboard (Socket 1151, Z170, DDR4, S-ATA 600, ATX, SupremeFX, Sonic Radar ll) https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B016ADLARW/ref=cm_sw_r_em_awd_EhrdxbB20RWGV"]

Aftermarket cooler will be mildly dependant upon your case choice
