Hi Everyone.

I just bought Dark Souls III, even though I am going under minimum specs.

I have GT740 2GB, i3 3240 3.4 and 4GB of ram

I can hit 30 fps on average, and I was thinking to add 4gb more, so I can have 8GB, which is kind of considered standard these days. Would it help at all?

I opened cpuid and it says my ram right now is
dram frequency - 798.1mhz
fsb:dram - 1:6
Cas latency CL - 11.0 clocks
ras to cas - 11 clocks
ras precharge 11 clocks
cycle time 28 clocks
command rate 1T

I would like to buy this one http://comtradeshop.ba/ram-memorija/19570-kingston-hyperx-fury-4gb-ddr3-1600mhz.html?search_query=hyper+fury&results=17

But it says it's 10cl. Would it make a big difference or problem?

Hello there,

Going to 8 GB RAM will improve game performance a little as it will probably reduce hard disk access times.
Upgrading your graphics card will definitely help you, though. If low on budget, something like a GTX 750, GTX 950 or R7 card could do the trick.
And to accelerate loading times, a SSD drive is a cheap upgrade too.

Good luck!

Matching memory modules are the best way to go. Mixing models can have undesirable results. I would recommend you purchase 8GB of matching memory and sell your current memory. Just a suggestion.

If you do mix your memory, try setting your BIOS memory settings to AUTO to allow the motherboard to manage the settings. This should maintain system stability.

Good luck!
