I assembled a new pc yesterday and i am getting BSOD at ramdom times, can´t post any problem report right now beacuse i am at my work... so i just wanna ask you if running a 1866 ram at lower speed may be the cause? (because i have not checked the ram configuration in the BIOS)
OS: win 7 64 bits
the pc parts are:
AMD® CPU FX-8350 X8
MSI® M/B AMD 990FXA-GD65 V2
Kingston® DDR3 4 GB 1866MHz PC3-14900 HyperX
Gigabyte® Video AMD Radeon R7 240 2048MB GDDR3 OC
Cougar® Power suply 650W 12cm 80Plus EU-White STX650

Solution
Update:
Downloaded AMD drivers, no more laggy windows.
Launched heroes of the storm no BSOD
i was able to run gpu-z and cpu-z withiout BSOD
have not tried speccy

Running at a lower speed, generally, increases stability and is often a fix for BSODs.

Were you able to update all drivers and Windows while suffering through the BSODs? Also, if the rig is running memory at the rated 1866, try lowering to 1600 (or better yet 1333) to see if the system stabilizes.

How are your operating temperatures (idle and loaded) when it is operating?

Only when running speccy? You might want to download and run memtest (see below). DL the ISO, burn to CD. Boot from CD and run tests. Make take a while.

Does firing up a game cause the system to do anything? Also, are you using the most recent version of speccy?

Ran the memtest and the result no problems detected with the RAM, when win booted up the screen looked like that gray interference in the TV but that dissipated when I moved the mouse and presed ctrl alt sup. In general the PC looks a little laggy (no smooth Windows animation) tomorrow will test with a game, not random bsod though, still getting that with speccy (last version of speccy)
