Just got myself a new GPU (MSI GTX 960 Gaming 4G) and after installing it, I could not enter BIOS. I still get the BIOS meny options ("Enter boot meny", "Enter setup" etc, but when I try to enter boot meny (F12) or setup (F9) nothing happens. After aroud 1 minute of BIOS Meny options it changes to a black screen with a blinking _.

I changed back to my old Graphic card (GTX 570) to see if it was the graphic card that was the problem, or if I broke something when installing.
When I booted the computer with the old graphic card I got the "CMOS checksum error" but after booting it did not seem to be any problems.

I was thinking I might need to update my BIOS, but because of the risk, I want to be sure.

My specs: (not GPU)
- Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-X79-UD3
- Processor: INTEL CORE I7 3820 3.6GHZ 10MB S-2011
- Power supply: 700W (could not find the name)
- RAM: CORSAIR 8GB DDR3 XMS3 VENGEANCE PC3-12800 1600MHZ CL9 (2X4GB)

Solution
First, I'd replace the power supply, if you can't find the name or brand, that is not a good sign. A bad power supply can damage not just itself but every component attached to it.

Test the card in another system to make sure it's good, one with a good quality power supply.
