I recently purchased some new Ripjaws for my pc however after installing them the pc won't boot past the windows loading screen, the computer just reboots and keeps trying. When I enabled the xmp profile in cmos and attempted to boot the pc the motherboard just beeped at me loudly so I had to reset the cmos on numerous occasions.

Now I have an intel i3 530 duo core processor rated at 2.93ghz and a gigabyte GA-P55A-UD3R motherboard. The motherboard supports 1600mhz memory but the processor only supports up to 1333mhz and the ram I'm trying to install are two 8gb GSkill ripjaws X with DDR3 at 1600mhz with PC3-12800. I idiotically didn't think ram compatibility would be an issue and just asked the guy at msy what DDR3 memory would be good for my motherboard. What do you guys think is going on and what do you think I should do?

Solution
Todays DRAM since late 2010-early 2011 is made with high density memory chips, when the P55 chipset came out in 2009, mobos used DRAM made with low density memory chips, in general the 1156 and 1366 mobos have trouble with the more modern DRAM, so you have a compatibility problem. GSkill still has there older NT series or Value DRAM available (check at NewEgg) which are made with the older low density chips ;)
