Hi, I am about to purchase the parts for my first build and would like a second opinion on this before doing so, but I also have a few questions that I would like to be answered also before I do purchase this:

I do plan on Overclocking this build hence why I have included the 212 EVO Cooler, I have checked that it does fit with this case as on PCPartPicker it says it may not fit but I have been assured it does.

  • Firstly, is the motherboard good enough to be able to hand the OC on the CPU or do you recommend upgrading this? I will only be able to spend an extra £20 on this though as I am almost at my budget.

Secondly, with the Overclocking in mind, I will mainly be playing WoW but also games such as H1Z1, Fallout 4, etc, will this CPU & GPU be able to handle these games on at least Med Settings but WoW at High Settings with a Constant 60FPS @ 1080p?

I already have the OS and Monitor with me hence why it is not included in the list.

Thanks for any help in advance.

Solution
DO NOT GET AN FX 6300 FOR WOW

an i3 6100 will MASSIVELY outperform an FX cpu in a game like WOW or any blizzard game.
The i3 6100 has stronger cores. WOW uses 2 cores
The fx6300 has 6 cores but they are much weaker.
More cores will not help your performance in a game that only uses 2 cores.

that would be like getting a 4 gtx 750ti SLI over a gtx 970 in a game that doesnt support SLI lol

I do not like seeing fellow gamers get the wrong hardware for the games they play and get bad performance for the money they spent.
You will have a much higher minimum FPS on wow with an i3 6100.

The i3 6100 outperforms the fx 8350 in a game that USES all 8 cores (BF4)
you can overclock that fx 6300, but this build is even faster than an fx8320 in gaming.

Hi Thanks for the suggestion, I would prefer to stick with the FX6300 if im honest, would it be able to run WoW on atleast High settings @ 1080p when overclocked? I had changed around the Mobo and PSU a bit as after posting i saw the Mobo may not be so great when OC'ing the FX 6300

would this be better:

the i3 6100 outpeforms the 8320 same price(yes in wow too even if u oc that 8320 or 6300)).
no amd chip wont bottleneck high end graphic cards.
yes u read that correctly.
