Should I wait on new graphics cards or not?

Guys i need help, Im building new gaming pc my budget is around 1500€ with monitor and keyboard. Im looking for gtx 970 but I heard new graphics cards are comming in may 2016. Im not in hury with new pc.

It'll probably be July, but, if you are not in a hurry you should definitely wait. The generation around the corner is coming with a node shrink, something that hasn't happened since 2012(i think) and this is the time for AMD/NV to prove themselves on the demanding emerging VR market, so we should see significant gains from both sides(50% or so). That, and this new generation will also be the first to be built from the ground up with DX12 in mind.

Solution
they'll probably announce the consumer cards this summer, E3 or Computex maybe both who knows. What we really don't know is when they will ship, could be right away could be Christmas. If you're really not in a hurry might as well just wait for the announcement at least and save up more money.
