Black screen on startup after overclocking R9 290

So i was overclocking my XFX R9 290 Black today, using MSI afterburner.
Now i am using an aftermarket aircooler combined with the original heatsink of the card, meaning i can keep the VRM temps really low together with the GPU chip itself even after overvolting.
I had reached a stable overclock with my Core Voltage +100mV and aux Voltage +18mV. Core clock speed was at 1050Mhz and Memory clockspeed at 1500Mhz.
I stress tested 2 hours with Unigine Heaven and Core temperatures never went above 78 degrees and VRM1 was about 81 and VRM2 around 68.Now as far as i am aware these temperatures are totally within limits.
During this stress tested there were also no artifacts what so ever, no crashes or black screens. So i assume it's stable.
Yet when i turned off my computer it black screened right after the Windows 10, loading screen. I managed to fix it by removing MSI afterburner in safe mode and using DDU to remove all drivers.

Now my question is, how is this possible after a seamingly stable overclock? What could be going wrong that it runs perfectly smooth when overclocked, yet when i reboot it doesn't launch anymore and goes into black screen.

Thanks in advance

System specs:
I7-875k @4Ghz
8GB RAM
XFX R9 290 Black Edition
CM 850W Silent Pro
Asus Sabertooth 55i

Solution
Hm not sure how to make it 'auto' at start up. Maybe MSI AB bug itself? The work around is you need to manually OC your gpu each time you boot into windows.
Well that's just how overclocking is? Even they were stable after stress test they might cause instability rlse where. Even for games some might not work properly with certain overclock. Hence there is case where people use different set if OC for different games. Btw try using cpu stock clock.

Thanks for the reply renz496. I think i might have found the problem, just not yet the solution. It appears that my GPU is saving it's overclocked core and memory speeds on startup, even when i tick off, apply overclock on startup in MSI afterburner it saves the overclocked speeds. And because it doesn't save my overvolting, and only applies it when MSI afterburner is launched, the computer instantly black screens because it's running high overclocked speeds without overvolting.
At least that's what i think the problem is.
Now how do i stop my GPU from saving it's overclocked speeds even though MSI afterburner is set to not apply overclock on startup?
