Is SATA cable SATA III 6gb/s

So I am buying a ssd card and it says it is SATA III 6gb/s but I the conversion kit which I have to buy separately in the conversion kit it just says it has a 12 inch SATA data cable to connect to the ssd card but I thought I needed a SATA III 6gb/s data cable. Are they the same thing or is it something else?

"conversion kit"
This is a SATA data and power connection, to USB on your system? You only need that if you have a laptop. And it is only used the once, if you are cloning from the old drive to the new SSD.
