Difference between Canvio Ready and Canvio Basics Hard Drives

I am looking for a simple backup hard drive for all my family photos, videos, documents, music etc, and I like the look of the Toshiba hard drive ranges, especially the bog-standard Canvio basics 1 tb drive. However, I have stumbled upon another relatively low cost range called Canvio "ready" and as i could find no info about it myself, I was wondering if anyone could tell me the relative benefit to getting this drive over the Canvio Basics one.

Toshiba Canvio drives are all very basic, reliable, and about the same. The Canvio Ready series is just the newest design with a different texture on the case, and I think they added a drop sensor to park the heads if you drop the drive. Which is a nice feature, but one you'll only ever appreciate if you drop your drive and didn't have a backup.

Which you should always have a backup of any drive ;). You don't want to have to come see me do you.
