Brother printer scanning issue

My scanner scans the same document over and over again as if that document is stuck to its memory. No mater which document I try to scan, it just gives the same old document stuck to its memory. How do I clear that document from its memory.

have you tried unplugging it from the power source?

I tried to switch it off wait for ten seconds and then switched back on, but the problem is still the same.

No, unplug it; the switch is a 'soft-off' just a like pc is these days.
