Hey all,

So I just upgraded from a GeForce GTX 970 Windforce to a GTX 980 Ti Windforce. My power supply is a Corsair CX 750, from a build that I finished in December 2014.

Just wondering if I need to worry about the power supply with the more powerful card. It might be worth mentioning that I'm not a HARDCORE gamer (I never go more than 90 minutes at a time or a couple hours on a given day, and I have barely PC gamed at all this year) and that the machine is dedicated to gaming, so I don't surf the net or do anything much outside of playing iTunes from time to time.

That power supply has enough wattage for your system. It should be noted that it is a lower quality power supply. Do not overclock the system and do not run it...

980 Ti is overkill for anyone just occasionally gaming. You could have easily gotten away with a GTX 970.

UPGRADE THAT PSU TO A TIER 1 OR TIER 2 PSU..
600W should be enough if u r overclocking then go with 700 or so.....
