I just got a GTX 660 today, and after installing it and doing a bit of testing in Fallout 4, my WONDERFUL (not really) Thermaltake TR-600 PSU is making a nice little sound that can only be described as a crackling sound. It'll do this for a few seconds then stop temporarily, and whenever it stops, my framerate will drop by a decent amount. If you look at reviews for the PSU (which you can find here), you'll see that it's prone to failing. I bought it second-hand for $20, so i'm not that disappointed.

I'm looking for basically the cheapest PSU I can get that WON'T go snap, crackle, and pop like it's a box of Rice Krispies.

I was thinking Corsair CX750m, but do you guys have any other suggestions? My system (and my planned upgrades) are as follows:

EDIT: what about this?

MSI 970 Gaming mobo
AMD Phenom II x4 B45 (an Athlon II x3 445 with 1 extra core unlocked)
*Planning on getting an FX-8350 very soon here.
8GB EVGA Superclocked DDR3-1600
*planning on adding another 8GB
EVGA GTX 660
*MIGHT add another one for SLI. This would be pretty far down the road though
Samsung 850 EVO 120GB SSD
WD Green 500GB

Any suggestions are welcome here. Thanks if you read through all of this!

it will also allow for SLI/CROSSFIRE configs because of its strong 12v rail. Since we are nearing 14nm/16nm, GPUs will be more efficient than ever. This psu will last you for years to come. I own the 520w version and have had it for a year with no issues.

Thanks for the suggestions! I'm going to be picking up a Seasonic before I start upgrading anything. As of right now, due to being tight on money, I picked up a 600w EVGA power supply as a temporary replacement.
