Thinking which upgrade path to go for in a few months. The choices are -
A mechanical rgb keyboard, preferably k70.
Hd 598+mic(or a hyperx cloud 2 to save money)
8 more gbs of ddr3 ram(have 8gb right now)
Or
i5 6600k
A z170 motherboard, eyeing the gigabyte z170-hd3.
16gb ddr4 ram
Which one would be a better upgrade? I currently have i5 3450, gigabyte b75m-d3h, 8gb corsair vengeance ddr3 ram, philips shl3000 headphones and a cheap microsoft keyboard. I have 980ti as gpu.
Buying a cpu cooler soon as 3450 reaching high temps, so no need to worry about buying a cooler with 6600k.

Well, I think it goes without saying that the Skylake upgrade offers a much improved performance upgrade. Adding those peripherals, while nice, and maybe even more important to you, is going to do nothing or at least not much, to improve the potential of your 980TI, even with an additional 8GB of RAM. I'd go with the platform upgrade and worry about the peripherals later.

Futureproofing with skylake is always a good thing. That GPU will last you a good while, the CPU is probably bottlenecking you.
Though on the other hand, I spent too much time gaming on lowend headset, keyboard and monitor, you didnt list you monitor, id upgrade the perhifials first cus they will be used for quite some while. And maybe DDR4 ram will be even cheaper a bit further down the road.

And even maybe throw in a soundcard as well?

well depends on what weighs heaviest for you, I found an increased enjoyment of bf4 after getting my beyerdynamics and a soundcard. The onboard audio on the motherboards is usually crap.

What games do you play?

if you do decide to go for the HD 598s id recommend http://www.modmic.com/
