So I am in the process of building a 5820k system and I need some help with the motherboard choice. I am on a budget of maximum 250 euros. I intend to order from Mind Factory (for price consideration). Things I don't care :sata express drives and usb 3.1

At this point my choice lies between : Asrock Extreme 4 or 6 and the Asus X99-A. Although I usually tend to go with gigabyte it seems that their x99 has a lot of issues. From the MSI i care only for the Mpower, but again there has been a lot of talk of bad quality control.

Anyway all opinions are welcome.

I must say the asus x99a is the best choice. Perfect performance, has all it needs and is rather cheap. Also the thing I like about it, you can toss in extra 10 euros to get USB 3.1. Since you don't care about usb 3.1 you can save those 10 euro, but after all you are buying a build for at least 1000 euro which will last you more than several years, so why not invest those 10 euros in USB 3.1?

Because the way that Asus offers 3.1 is the same as buying a pci add in card. The Asrock does offer a type c if I remember correclty on board, but as i said. Budget at this point is more relevant. Yes even for 10 euros.

I have this MB and truly hate it. Very poor QA. Multiple issues out of the box. I would recommend almost any other brand.
