Have been using the kraken x60 for the last 3 years no problems with overheating but recently i have noticed something strange with the fans on it. The rpm of the fans when set to silent mode will run between 300-450 rpm, in extreme mode will run between 700-1000 and when in custom with a minimum curve set to 60% fan speed will run between 680-800 RPM, there has been no issues with overheating idle temps are around 20-23 Celsius while playing games and using roughly 20-30% cpu at around 40 Celsius however i did read the fan speed was meant to run at a minimum of 800 rpm which i can only achieve when in extreme mode or with my custom curve set to 60+% is there a problem with my cooler and if so what would be a way to fix it? also the fans are noisy from 600rpm onwards

Your product specs page(closest though is Newegg since it's now discontinued) states that the minimum RPM for your fan is 800rpm's. Any lower then you'll need to have the minimum voltage to run the fan(which will be around 800rpm's)before you can undervolt the fan to go lower.

Your cooler seems fine albeit it's guess work for us since we don't know your heatware. Temps for an i5 6th gen will vary with an i5 4th gen thus what are your full systems specs? Idle temps will also be a consequence of background applications running and your ambient temps.

With age the fan motor's and bearing might have accumulated dust and debris or have given way due to wear and tear evident with age or simply a culmination of both. If the pump housing isn't compromised and there are no signs of leaking nor grinding noises from your cooler then you should look into changing out your stock X60 fans(which might be NZXT's FN series) to something with higher static pressure and is geared towards watercooling.
