My computer keeps trying to boot in safe mode with networking because a program I was using to try to fix Internet issues told it to. The computer tries to boot in safe mode every time I try to turn it on, but it just goes to a black screen.

nope, computer wont boot at all because its trying to boot in safe mode but safe mode wont work

Sorry, edited my post quick. Anyways...try pressing F8 starting during POST. If you get to a boot menu select "Start Windows Normally", then check msconfig as advised. If you can't get this to work you will need either a DVD install disk with your version of windows, or a USB stick with same. You'll need to boot from this so getting into the BIOS to change boot order will be the next step. Try F8 and see how it goes.

ive gotten to the menu to select "start windows normally", it tries to in safe mode anyway

Damn..well you are gonna have to try the media method. If you have the disk/usb drive insert it and restart. If it boots from the hard disk you will need to enter the BIOS and alter the boot sequence. This is motherboard or PC manufacturer specific so you will need to Google your system model or mainboard model to get the keypress. It's usually like F2 or delete, try these if you wish.
