I am attempting to run Skyrim the Journey modpack (I don’t to explode the thread, so no comments about its creation please), and I am getting significant frame freezing/stuttering even though I have a solid 60 FPS (according to Nvidia’s drivers anyways). The problem occurs when I load a new area, and persists for several IRL minuets afterwards.
When I look around, it will freeze for second or two, during which time it will do absolutely nothing. The other trigger for it, is looking at actors (NPC’s of any kind or density as far as I can tell); it will freeze for a second or so while the camera is moving, or they are.
I have tried running the skyrim INI on Ultra. I normally enable multi-threading and a couple of other things through the INI but I never change the ugridloads as I know it can cause significant problems.
Does anyone have any ideas about how to fix it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
