I recently purchased Asus RoG G752-VT. I know most of the garbage installed on this laptop isn't necessary. But what would you say i should install ? The drivers page is below:

Thanks! :)

BTW I am installing windows 8.1 thinking about windows 7.

Windows 10 would be the best choice by far. I thought that was the OS already?

Anyway, you have TWO options:

1) Clone to the M.2 drive, or

2) Do a fresh install of W10->
a) Download the W10 media creation tool, run and create a boot USB (must match your Windows version, i.e. W10 64-bit Home)
b) Unhook old drive, attach M.2
c) Boot to W10 USB (do NOT put in the key when prompted since you're already registered)
d) Finish install
e) Video drivers (other software only as needed for your laptop.)

*I strongly suggest the CLONE method. You can use something like Machrium Reflect Free.

Thanks for the replies guys. Unfortunately the M.2 SSD had some problems or something. Windows would only partially recognize it. It would show up when i launched Disk Manager but then it would only be in the graphical section. I also could not select/see it in the windows installer.

Yes i went to my bios and tried to find if there was a way to turn the device on or off... nothing found. But i did find it under something 'like' "Storage Devices". So either it was destroyed from Static or Windows 8.1 just doesn't work with PCI-E SSD's.
