Will a MSI r9 GPU work with a Asus mother board using a i7 cpu??

It s the first time that I'm building a gaming PC..well just in papers ^_^...to make sure that all will work perfectly and giving me the greatest performance... But I m wondering if a MSI r9 (8Gb) GPU will work without problems with an ASUS Z170 Pro Gaming mother board ....and I m going to use a i7 6700k CPU so will that GPU work fine with it even if it an r9 GPU ?? Sorry if my questions are dump

yup no problems regarding GPU-mobo-cpu, thats actually very rare, could even plug a brand new GPU in a 8-10 year old mobo/cpu and it would very likely work

the more important thing when choosing a GPU is to check if your power supply will support it, so you need to check what PSU you have

Yh I got a 650W PSU the GPU and CPU are both using just 380 W so I m good to go thank you..
