Alright so i got an i7 a while ago and i cannot handle 32 render distance. When its on 32 render distance i get about 30-60 fps which for minecraft is low ,

I assumed a GTX 760 and I7 4790k would be enough for that, If not than what kind of Rendering power would you need for 32 render distance???

I do not have an SSD. But i thought SSD's do not affect frame rates. Does it affect frame rates at high render distances in minecraft?

Solution

You have to launch minecraft with special arguments so it allows higher memory usage. Also java 64 bits is needed.

Good...

Strange thing, are you able to run other games?
I do not know much about minecraft but I think 32 render distance is the max? From what I heard minecraft generate chunks/map as you walk, your hard drive can be the one causing this lag/delay which in case a SSD would help alot (Overall system too).

Edit: After some searchings, I've found 32 render distance is only possible using a mod called Optifine. The optifine team says that the extreme distance (In this case, 32) is resource heavy but they do not list what they mean with 'resource heavy' (CPU/GPU/Memory/HDD?) so I'm not sure of an answer to you, maybe you can ask the same question on minecraft forums and they should be able to help you if it's a bug or some kind of problem in the game.

i have optifine and have a vast knowledge of minecraft mods.

Im assuming it is an HDD issue, i do not have an SSD because i have heard under no circumstance will it affect performance.

Maybe My I7 is rendering the chunks before my HDD can render them, therefore causing a bottleneck
