Orginally I have Gskill 8gb 1866 at 9-10-9-28. I ordered another pair that were falsely advertised as 1866 and they ended up being 2133 on arrival. Can I down clock the 2133 to match the timing of the 1866? The 2133 timing is 11-11-11-30.

Solution
Prob not with all 4 on the XMP, the sets are programmed for a 2 stick set, could try raising the DRAM voltage + 0.05 and drop the CL to 10 for a little bit of a performance boost

If you have memory running at 1866 the computer will automatically switch the speed of the higher to match the speed of the lower. So the 2133 will down clock to 1866.

If you have anymore questions let me know

There's no guarantee they will play - (never a good idea to mix sets), I'd try them initially at 1866, 10-11-10 29, and the DRAM voltage at 1.6 and give them a try, if no joy go to 1.65. Let us know, it they are OK we can prob run them at 2133 ;) (Also let me know the CPU and mobo)
