So I had to reinstall windows and get new drivers for pretty much everything including my new monitor, a g257hu, and when I plugged it in, windows recognized it as a generic pnp monitor, which limits me to 1280 x 1024, instead of 1440p, so I installed a driver for it at http://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers and I tried to make device manager recognize the inf file, but no matter what I did it didn't work, Please Help. (P.S i also already disabled the driver signature verification, but i might have done it wrong)

It's not a monitor driver you need to install to get display resolutions above 1280 x 1024, it's the graphics/video drivers you need to install for your particular computer model (if prebuilt) or motherboard model (if homebuilt).

The monitor driver is optional (but advisable to avoid choosing a display resolution or refresh-rate that your monitor doesn't support).
