Is that possible to install os on desktop without cmos battery?

Iam just trying to install Windows on my old pc, but pc cmos battery is not working is that possible to install os on that desktop without battery?

It's possible but it's a big bother for very small and cheap thing like CMOS battery. BIOS/CMOS will retain settings as long as there is power to the board but installing windows requires several restarts and after every restart you would have to re enter CMOS and set it to same settings (including date and time) all over again. Even after successful installation you would have to make same settings every time you start/restart computer.

A restart is not a power cycle; CMOS settings won't be lost.
