Hello!
So for the past year and a half my computer has been acting up and sometimes (once or twice per week) frozen/crashed/ no bluescreen just stuck.
However the past week its been getting more frequent and its now happening multiple times a day and im getting worried that it might be my hardware or something. Anyone have any clue what the problem might be?

Solution
Ok first you need to download the latest BIOS. The following link is the latest I could find on ASUS's site:

P8Z77-V LX BIOS 2501

It was published in September 2014.

To flash the BIOS, unzip the above file and place the filename.CAP file onto a USB stick.

Then have a look at pages 3-36 - 3-27 of the manual linked below:

P8Z77-V LX User's Manual (English)

These two pages detail exactly how to do it.

The procedure is pretty straight forward. When it's finished updating just exit and it should reboot. Then when it POST's, re-enter the BIOS and Load Optimized Defaults. If you have any things that you've changed manually (such as turned off serial ports, AHCI on, etc) go back into the BIOS and set it back up the way...

Yeah i did. I had this driver checker thingy that told me my mobo and cpu drivers were very outdated but i didnt know how to update really. Only thing that came into mind was windows update but i dont know. And ive done that everytime its been needed.

Drivers were likely updated with the install of Windows 10. As for firmware, it's likely that most things would work pretty much right of the start. If this was firmware, it would likely just not work in Windows 10. You could update your BIOS, but I think that's reaching. The BIOS is pretty easy to update. I believe that board is an ASUS board, so they have EZ Flash that allows you to flash the BIOS from inside the BIOS. If you are unsure of the procedure and would like to try it, we can walk you through the process. Just let us know.

Did you run memtest yet? The power supply you listed is a Tier 4 which is a pretty low end model. The 750W is plenty for your system, it could be that the supply is failing. Do you have a spare known working PSU that you could try?

Yes id like to try updating the bios, with step by step help heh. I did run memtest and it showed no errors. Unfortunately i have no spare powersupply. Might be able to borrow one from my friends old computer, which works fine.

The reason you set everything to defaults and then reset any things you had changed originally is sometimes after an update the BIOS doesn't honour any custom settings, or they may not behave properly afterwards.
