i'm currently struggling with motherboard & processor.
it needs to be a good 1080p setup
i currently have a msi A68 e-33 (NOT the v2) motherboard, and i saw 4 processors.
the i5 4460, the i5 - 6400k, the AMD A10-6790K, and the AMD A10-5700.
i'm thinking the 6400 is the best, but what do you guys think?
what is the cheapest ATX motherboard for the winner of these 4 cpu's?
because (this relates to my other thread) if the winner of these 4 does not have a fm2/fm2+ socket i need a new one + the fact that i'm buying a gtx 970 wich im not sure if it fits my motherboard because it is an micro atx

well im hoping that someone can clear this out for me thanks in advance ^_^

The 4460 is the best of the bunch, even if Haswell is a dead socket. The 6400 is completely pointless as the 6500 is much faster and sells for a similar price.

The A10s are APUs, meaning that a GPU is integrated into the CPU. Intel do this with HD Graphics, but APUs place a greater emphasis on the GPU at the cost of the CPU. An APU is great in a small form factor PC where a dedicated GPU won't fit, but otherwise, a separate CPU and GPU is the way to go, especially for gaming.

why is the 4460 better than the 6400? i saw some benchmarks where the 6400 performed better.
are there some other features i don't know about?, because i thought that gen 6 peforms better cause of the newer tecnoligy what is also used in games?
or am i totally wrong here haha?

Skylake does have architectural improvements over Haswell, as well as DDR4 RAM support, but the improvements are very minor and you're unlikely to notice them.

I tend to ignore synthetic benchmarks and instead focus on benchmarks for tasks that I'll be doing. This is far more representative of real-world use.

its price to performance... 6400 isnt worth the money and its a lower end i5 in the new gen so yeah 4460 would be better but if u can squeeze some money in and get a i5 6500 or a 6600K id say then stick with the new gen....
And both gens are about the same price so why not stick with the newer one
