Motherboard swap or keep

Hi guys,

So I sent my Maximus vii hero in for RMA and because I was unsure if Asus would send me a new board or not I went out and bought an MSI Gaming 5. My system just got built and a new Maximus vii hero came in the mail. Now im thinking if I should swap boards and put my Hero back or keep the MSI board in. Advice is appreciated.

Thanks again

Well besides losing the ROG features of the Asus board, the MSI board isn't really that much lower than the Asus board except its missing Asus's proprietary "bells and whistles"

However, I would still use the Asus board because I have never had any problem with them. I trust MSI much more for graphics cards than I do for motherboards

The serial number is different from my old board and the RMA form included in the box says New (repair). Its a matter of preference now I guess. Looks like the MSI board is going back for a refund. Sorry for asking a pointless question.
