Hi, guys. So like the title says I'm trying to connect my pc to my tv. Problem is the tv doesn't have a VGA port so I'm trying to use a VGA to HDMI converter, but I keep getting no signal. In fact I wasn't even able to change the tv to HDMI 2 until I connected an old charger cord to the converter. The converter itself didn't come with a power cord so I didn't think it needed one, but apparently it does. Anyway now I can switch the tv to HDMI 2, but I'm still getting the "no signal" message. I'm at the end of my rope here and about ready to throw in the towel with this nonsense. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Just in case you need it I'm running Windows 7 on the pc (it's an older one,) and it's worked fine when plugged into my old tv that had a VGA port.
