if you bought an OEM copy of windows 7, getting a different motherboard will void your licence and you will have to repurchase windows. you need to find out if you bought OEM or Retail when you bought the machine. Retail will be ok with the new board.

be prepared to buy windows again. not sure where you'll find a board, just making sure you know. try ebay. most of them should be compatible with 7. find one that fits what you need and check the manufactures site for compatibility.
