So, I started to download Unbuntu 14.04.4 today and when I went to check for disk damage it said I had 2 errors, after a couple of tries deleting the info off the usb and reinstalling, I gave up on it and tried Ubuntu 15.10, and I had the same problem. When I go to install it I get frozen up at the "Installation type" box and when I try to add a partition the button appears to be clicked but it just stays there and then the box disappears.

If anyone could help me with installing Ubuntu and figuring out the error, I will be thankful! ( I tried reformatting my usb already)

edit - when I go to the previous box that I was stuck on the message "This machines firmare has started the installer in UEFI mode but it looks likes there may be existing operating systems already installed using "BIOS compatibility mode". If you continue to install Debian in UEFI mode, it might be difficult to reboot the machine into any BIOS-mode operating systems later." should I install it because I don't have any other OS'S on the USB or the SSD
