Zenorie :
yeah but my question is will the recording be all choppy and stuff, if i record at 60fps 1080p when the monitor is 144htz?
Theoretically can be some choppiness due to sampling at a different frame rate but...
Keep in mind also that having a 144Hz monitor doesn't mean that your GPU is outputting 144FPS. You record on the computer side and it only samples what the GPU is putting out.
If VSYNC is off then your GPU output might be anywhere between 20FPS and 80FPS as an example.
*Even if it did have some issue which is hard to say, you could always set the monitor to 60Hz, maybe use VSYNC to lock a solid 60FPS.
Other:
It also depends on the recording software. Some have weird issues, or if using only the CPU and not the video encoder like NVENC for NVidia (H.264) you can get game stutter due to the added CPU usage.
120FPS/60FPS recording?
Just experiment, but again you can set a 144Hz monitor to 60Hz so you don't have to choose between monitors.
