I have a 290 and a Gigabyte Gaming3 Z97X, and I've just recently used GPUZ, only to notice that the PCIe test shows that my card never goes beyond x4 speed.
The card is set in the primary x16 slot, and that's what is set in BIOS, also I've tried both enabling and disabling ASPM there just to be sure, but even at maximum load, it stays at x4.
I don't know if it's just a misreading, but I tend to always find that my card is having a worse performance and higher temps compared to other people with the same one, so I'm kinda worried it's not working properly.
Is there anything to do to be sure ?
