So i have this buddy thats computer audio isn't working correctly and i was hoping for a little help on this problem since he came to me.

Problem:
So basically what it is, is that his ingame sound or Facebook,Youtube video, Teamspeak etc. Stuff like that are really quite. This also doesn't effect his mic.

So he thinks it occurred after he downloaded (Logitech Gaming Software) but he isn't sure. This program helps him custom his mouse and mic settings.

I got him to copy my settings from (Logitech Gaming Software) to see if it would fix anything but sadly no.

What i've done so far:

I have tried a few of the basic stuff to see if i could get the audio working properly again but we got nowhere.

Heres a sample of what the audio sounds like:

Solution
So I'm to assume that the issue is with his headset (G430). I have the G35's and in the software (LGS), have a look at the equalizer settings. Are they set low in either the regular mode (Bass and Treble controls only) or the Advanced Equalizer? Typically you'd want these all set to 0dB, unless you've intentionally tweaked certain frequencies. However I wouldn't adjust them below 0dB. If anything has been modified from 0dB reset everything to 0dB and check to see if that fixes the issue.
