Hey folks,

So my girlfriend thinks I'm in over my head, and I may be! This is my current build:http://pcpartpicker.com/p/X7Gr99 I plan on gaming at high/ultra setting. First person shooters, The Division, Witcher 3 ect.

The only thing I'm hesitant about so far is the case, if I should get an SSD now, and getting a better PSU.

1) I picked the EVGA GTX970 incase I want to upgrade to the new line of GPU's in the very near future. This is still an option right? I'm not to familiar with the step-up program.

2)You have any better ideas with cases? Looking them up has given me a headache! '

3)PSU- I do want to keep this computer for a while, and may upgrade it to be a high end gaming pc down the road. I don't know much about over clocking, so currently I don't plan on doing it. But this PSU will apparently support minor over clocking from what someone told me. Is that true?

4)I planned on staying under 1200, and Ive obviously gone over. Do you guys see anyway to cut corners and save some cash? I have the wireless adapter because I'm not sure where I'm putting the computer. I think it may be to loud to keep it in my room, which is where my internet box(u-verse)is located.

5) Should I pick up extra fans? Maybe fans that are known for being quiet incase it does end up in our room. Although, gaming could be pretty loud lol.

I really appreciate any advise/help/ assistance anyone may have. I just want to make sure I've covered all my bases, and got the best bang for my buck.

if you have a local micro cernter the cpu and mb are cheaper the mb listed right now has 10 dollar rebate and micro center has 20.00 off combo deal on it and the cpu. the ssd is 79.00 in there flyer when combo it with a mb or cpu. for the power supply for a gaming pc go with a 650w unit to make sure you have more amps then needed on the 12v rail. there no gpu as the pascal cards are dropping in a few weeks from now. your better off buying the other parts and using onboard video for two weeks then dropping in the gaming gpu. the hard drive can be added latter on. it more of a pain to try an move the os and games and aps from one drive to another. use the ssd as the boot drive then add whe nyou have the funds for a storage drive.

I don't have a Micro center around unfortunately. Although, my girlfriend is currently on a business trip where one is near. But I don't think itd be a good idea to fly with them being fragile and all. Thanks for that info though. Micro center should be more common!

since overclocking isn't a priority a smaller cooler, but still good.
Chose 16gb of ram.
The case is very good and very cheap now,if you like is it maybe wise to get it.
The remark about using an ssd also is valid, you could choose for 2x4gb(8gb) of ram and first buy a >240gb ssd.

Just look at the differences and check them out for yourself.

Thanks for the advice. Just noticed you changed the motherboard. Any reason?

Just a price/performance combination, with the budget you have is the Gigabyte just as good and costs less.Still looks good and performs well. Also changed the ram,it seems to perform as well as other kits and imo matches the motherboard.Since there's a window in that case i chose do i look at these things as well.
