So, I don't know if this is asking too much but I really feel that it shouldn't be as tenkeyless keyboards are popular among "gamers." Anyways, I would really like a TKL RGB MxBrown keyboard if that's possible. I was looking into the Corsair line, I noticed the K70 has MxBrowns but it has the Numpad. So I figured the K65 (tenkeyless) would be perfect...but I can only find it with the Reds?

Anyways, hopefully we can find something!

Dont worry, Im a big RGB fan. Its not so much the allure of "oooh pretty flashing colours!", its the fact that I can change my entire set up to a different colour theme whenever I want. I dont understand the nay sayers, its an option after all!

The K70 is fantastic keyboard and MX Browns are by far my favourite switch. Im not someone who buys things lightly - I went into a store and tried three K70s with Red, Blue and Brown switches.

I found reds too light. I have quite large hands for a person of slight build, and found it was pretty easy to accidentally actuate keys by resting my fingers on them. Plus, the lack of tactile feedback makes for an unsatisfying typing experience.

Blues I found to be very nice to use, but theyre just...

Pretty sure the K65 comes in Reds only - if it came in browns I'd have probably bought one instead of my K70 a few months back.

Since then however, Ive come to love the num pad as I use for macros and shortcuts that I made with the Corsair software, which makes it so useful.

Do you have a reason youre set on TKL?

I have a Logitech G110 and its a mammoth, have had it for nearly 6 years and really want something different. I also angle my keyboard a ton when I play, for example I will bring the bottom right of the keyboard much closer to my body while the right side (with the Numpad) will be angled heavily upwards towards the monitor. So often times my keyboard will actually hit the base of my monitor etc bc of how I tend to place it during gaming sessions.

I figured getting a TKL would eliminate this problem, and I also hardly ever use the Numpad as I have a macro mouse with several extra buttons. I'm just surprised the K65 only offers the reds :( the K70 is a possibility but I would have to make sure it is noticeably less wise than my Logitech G110... which I don't know the dimensions of off hand.

The reason the K65 comes in reds only is that TKL mech keyboards are only really popular with gamers, and the most popular gaming switch is red, so it makes financial sense for Corsair (despite it being annoying for the many people who like other switches).

There are plenty of TKL MX Brown keyboards out there, but youre going to very hard pressed to find one with RGB backlighting. I know of one - the MK Disco - which is essentially an OEM Ducky Shine 3 with RGB lighting, but you'll be lucky to find one for sale.

Yeah and I know its corny but I really do want RGB, I mean I have a ton of money dumped into my build and a keyboard is clearly an essential component (I point this out bc I find people who spend $1500 on a computer and then get a cheap $100 chair with no support or armrests or what have you, I just find it odd) if I'm going to get a nice keyboard a couple extra bucks for some unnecessary lighting isn't a huge deal.

So you say you purchased the K70? How do you like the browns? I think I really like browns over reds, I want some feedback from the keys.

The K70 is a fantastic keyboard. The only negative I have with it is the RGB lighting isn't that good. Its not what I would call saturated, and certain colours are quite dim.It does the job and looks good, but no where near as good as its sister board, the Strafe.

The only thing that has stopped me from trading it in for the Strafe is its lack of dedicated audio controls (the volume roller on the K70 is brilliant).

If you remove the wrist rest, the K70 is surprising thin, approx 5.5inches from top to bottom.
