Hello everyone,

Basically as the title reads, I've got a few HDDs, some of them being desktops and often when I boot up with them plugged in my USB3 at the back of my tower I get Boot IMG Missing. It's pretty on and off and is like the computer sometime looks for the OS on a HDD rather than the internals.

It's getting a bit tiresome unplugging and replugging-in my HDD each time I want to boot up. Do you know a way I can fix this?

Hey there, Jack!

I'd advise you check the boot priority in BIOS and make sure that the external HDD is not listed as a first boot priority. I'd also check in Disk Management how the external drive appears. Make sure there are no system partitions on it that could be interrupting the boot-up process.
If this doesn't help, maybe you should consider fixing the Bootmgr is missing error through the Windows Repair Disk & Command Prompt .

Hope this helps. Keep me posted! :)
