I recently bought a Gigabyte gtx 980ti and have been getting a bit frustrated with it.
I have a constant issue where, if the PC is turned on before the monitor, no picture is shown. And sometimes even when the monitor is turned on first, the same issue (I'm running it through DVI and my monitor has no HDMI connections)
I got to the point where I was convinced there was something wrong with the card and sent it back to Ebuyer to have it tested, they say it's fine and are returning it to me.
So now I'm thinking it's something else in my PC (since this is the first thing I've updated in a couple of years) but it works fine with my old gtx 660 (I realise there's a difference in the requirements of the 2 cards in terms of power supply).
So my question is, does anyone have any valid theories on what could be causing this?
Current PC setup:
Intel i5 3570K (not overclocked)
Asus P8Z77-V LX 1155 socket MoBo
EVGA Supernova 750w PSU
16Gb Corsair Vengeance RAM
PS. Please assume no technical knowledge in your answers (e.g. BIOS setups and stuff)
