Is newegg a good place to buy PC parts from UK?

I have found that all the parts I need to build my PC are almost £250 cheaper at Newegg than amazon (which I fought was the cheapest site) and many other sites.

I just wondered how good and reliable it is as I'm spending around 1grand. Is its customer service good?

I am also new to building PCs (first one, no experience) so I could possibly get something wrong and have to send parts back. How easy would that be from UK to USA.

thanks

Even if i have to send parts back from UK to USA

I have also read posts saying that it is only good if you are living in USA and don't buy from there if in UK is this true?

last time i looked it wasnt cheaper to buy from newegg if in the uk

even though its got a uk website the parts were being shipped from the usa and by the time the shipping and import duties were paid it wasnt cheaper than buying from a uk company

so unless somethings changed since then i cant see you saving £250

just as an example i just looked at my graphics card from newegg now

tax/duties and shipping added £100/£120 to the total

making it £120 more than i paid for it from a uk company--and thats not a heavy item dont know what the postage would be on a big parcel of stuff

Thanks i'll look into it but before I add any of the items to cart it is saving £250 but when I checkout it will likely add tax/duties.

It turns out they charge between £16-5 postage on every item and on the more expensive items like intel i7 over £100 vat.

Defiantly won't be buying from there now. Instead of reducing the cost by £250 its increased it by £250.
I'll likely just use amazon now.

Thanks for all the help

figured that might be the case

if going to spend 1k have a look at topcashback website they should cover some places that sell pc components

might only get 5% cashback or something but thats still 50 quid
